CHECK IN & SECURITY

Adults check their children in at our kiosks (Look for  at each campus to find us!). You'll check in on a tablet, and the check in screen looks like this:

The child receives a name tag, and the adult receives a security tag. Only an adult with the security tag can pick up the child. Pagers are available for parents to take if they feel their child might need them during the service. If a parent is needed, the staff will page you.

VISITORS/PARENTS

We only allow people who have been screened through our system to be in rooms with children. A visitor should check in with the director or pastor before entering a room. A parent may stay in a room for one service in order to comfort or help their child adjust. If a parent/visitor should need to stay additional times they will need to go through our screening process. The parent/visitor may not help children with diapering or bathrooms.

Kids Ministry Policy Updates: 2024-2025

  1. All allergies are listed on children’s name tags.
  2. Sunday morning programs generally will not be serving snacks. Exceptions are the toddler rooms, which may serve graham crackers. Ingredients shall be posted outside the room.
    1. If a special snack is served, it must be nut- and dairy-free such as crackers, pretzels, or chips.
  3. Outside food shall not be consumed in the rooms. Children who bring a snack from home should finish it outside the room before entering. The exception is a bottle for a baby, and it should be labeled and kept inside the child’s bag when not being used.
  4. A cup from home should only have water or juice, no milk.
  5. If an older elementary-aged child wants to serve in an early childhood room, his or her parent must serve with the child. It is not the responsibility of the leader to watch the young volunteer in addition to the kids in their class.
  6. Potty training:
    1. Kids who are potty training will be given stickers to indicate that so teachers know who needs to be taken to the bathroom.
    2. If a child is not potty training, he or she will only access the bathroom to wash their hands.
    3. We won’t change diapers if they are merely wet unless you as the parent request it. We will only change them if the child has a bowel movement.

Kids Ministry holds yearly training to keep our teams refreshed and ready to best serve the families and kids of Revive. Thank you for reviewing this policy and for entrusting your kids to us!
