Digital Media Internship
SUMMARY ROLE DEFINITION:
The Digital Media Intern will assist in capturing and creating engaging content for church events, services, and outreach programs. This role offers hands-on experience in photography, videography, and editing, providing an opportunity to build a portfolio while contributing to our mission.
Reports To: Communications Director
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Photography: Attend and document church gathering, including special programs, worship services, and community events. Capture high-quality images that reflect the spirit of the Revive.
- Videography: Record video footage of services, events, and interviews. This may include creating promotional videos, testimonials, and event highlights.
- Editing: Edit photos and videos to create polished, engaging content for use on the church’s website, social media platforms, and other communication channels.
- Content Management: Assist with organizing and archiving media files, ensuring they are readily accessible and well-catalogued.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the media team to understand content needs, receive feedback, and implement creative ideas that align with the church’s mission and branding.
- Creative Input: Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and help develop strategies for engaging digital storytelling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to being part of the Revive Wesleyan family.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media Studies, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Photography, Film, or a related field.
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.).
- Experience with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and video equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- A passion for storytelling and an understanding of how to convey messages visually.
